What is Orpheo?
Orpheo manufactures audio guides and related equipment. Q Media has been a member of the Orpheo Network representing Orpheo audio guides since 2006 and have found them to be the best audio guide hardware on the market. Modular in design for easy repair, reliable and dependable, and engineered for public use they are our audio guide manufacturer of choice when working with a facility that has chosen audio guides as their delivery method.
What is your production process like?
At Q Media we have honed our approach to creating audio tours through years of experience producing them. Our usual approach to creating a tour is we go and conduct research at our client’s site. While there we meet with decision makers, conduct interviews with subject matter experts and craft the tone, content and direction of the script. After we get the script written the production then goes into the audio production phase where the VO talent is recorded and the audio tour stops come together with music and sound effects. Q Media prides itself in listening to and then crafting what our clients want as their tour's vision and goals and do so making sure they have input and involvement at every step of the production process.
Do you provide revenue share agreements for clients?
Yes. If your facility qualifies with enough annual attendance Q Media will produce and equip a tour for you with minimal upfront expense to be able to share in the tour’s revenue over time. The benefit for the client is that their up front expense is minimized and it’s a great way to increase revenue at a facility. Our new iPhone app Q Tours is ideally suited for revenue share arrangements.
Do you ala carte your services?
Yes. In some instances a client may have staff or resources to produce aspects of a tour themselves and need our assistance for select elements. We can provide assistance to any or all components of audio tour production and also offer workshops on scriptwriting and audio production to organizations who want to take on the production themselves and want the benefit of our knowledge to help them make the best choices possible in their tour's creation.
Do you produce visually described or audio described audio tours for visually impaired individuals and the Blind?
Yes. We have experience producing these types of tours and Stasha Boyd, Q Media president, executive producer and primary scriptwriter is certified by the American Council of the Blind to write these types of scripts and audio tours.
Do you produce cell phone audio tours?
Yes. Q Media has produced tour content to be distributed on cell phones and can either suggest a cell phone tour service provider to use for your Q Media produced tour or work with one of your choosing.
